Leopards interiors
Everything you need is there to do a super-detailed interior!
Great pictures but I think the idea of superdetailing/scratchbuilding the interior is a bit beyond my skills at this point. Hmmmm.... Maybe I should follow the advice of a master builder in my model boat club when it came to trying scratch building wooden ships "go for it the worst that can happen is you have a piece of kindling for your fire place" I don't think that a plastic model would make good kindling though.
Winters may be cold in Canada but at least there are no mosquitoes or blackflies
the doog Here's a link to actual Canadian Leopard 2A6 MBT's at Wolfhagen base in Germany before they were shipped to Afghanistan. If has clear pics of the wheels. Leopard 2A6

Thanks. Those pictures are definitely clearer than any others I have seen. I can see the rubber rimes easily. Thanks again
After WWII, steel rimmed road wheels became very uncommon on AFVs. Although I am sure that there are more out there, the only one I can think of is the T-64 family. Every other modern tank I can think of has rubber tires on the road wheels and usually on the return rollers as well. Idler wheels are widely seen in either style.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Thanks. The pictures I looked at were not clear enough to say whether there was rubber or not. Thanks again for the info
Cheers,
John
Leopard tank road wheels have a rubber tire. Paint that portion in a very dark gray color or faded black. The metal portion will be a color to match the rest of the tank.
The road wheels on the Leopard tank, do they have a robber outer surface or are they completely metal. When painting them should I paint the outer rim black or just the colour of the rest of the road wheel?
