Hey guys, thanks for all the nice words! I really appreciate it since I'm always really impressed by modellers on this forum (possibly the most polite and helpful one I've seen, not that any are really terrible...but I'm sure you all know what I mean).
There are no rockets, but If you wanted to scratch some, the launcher is basically the same as a soviet BM-21 MRL. This kit is odd, it has a nicely detailed engine which is almost impossible to see on this model in the series (there is a TD, and a SPG on the same Chassis made by trumpeter as well. The only missing vehicle is the SPAAG) However it has no real interior besides a floor inside the crew compartment, a simple chair in the drivers compartment and an air compressor. I'd be really interested to see how the TC's station is meant to operate, as it is physically and functionally separated from the rest of the vehicle (like the driver's compartment). There are apparently three other crew, but what their jobs are is beyond me.
The bad part of the tubes is on the top (notice no pics?) I more or less copied a person on Armorama's method:
Primer
Tan
Mask
Light Green
Mask
Dark Green
Mask
Medium Green
Remove all masks.
Unfortunately for me, since I haven't seen any photos of these in the new camo scheme (and thats what I wanted to do) I just made it up. I have a Tamiya cutting board which has a 5mm grid on it, and all my shapes were made from 1x1, 1x2, 1x4, 2x2, 4x4 blocks of tamiya tape assuming each block is 5mmx5mm. It took a while and it would have been much easier on a vehicle with fewer complex shapes (such as an APC), but it was fun. These two pics were early on in the process, and I eventually just started drawing grids on all of them to help with alignment, but my own impatience and inability to distinguish the first layer of masks after 2-3 layers of paint made some of them appear all weird.
