Johan, I don't understand--isn't that photo of the part already reproduced? I think that with a little bit of judicious sanding and shaping that that would look just fine?

The parts that are missing are supposed to build up the middle section of the fork leg, just in the center of this picture where there is material missing.

Not very clear I know!

Any advice appreciated, what is the best 2 part filler that can be worked to appropriate sheet thickness and then cut to size?

Resurrection it is, this is my 3'd attempt at this kit.

I just wish I had the 2 missing sprues because this is such a nice kit even with parts missing!

The challenge now is to recreate the mantles of the struts on the front fork.

I would need a 2 component filler that I can shape into a 1 millimeter thin sheet and then cut to size.

Just realized that this one has been sitting around for exactly 2 years now  

It is finally starting to take some shape although a long way to go still.

The engine block is Alclad Aluminium ALC-101.

The Dark Yellow is Xtracrylix XA1805.

SprueOne,
Here is the engine sprue, this is where attention has gone today.

I have all the half parts off the sprue now and assmebled, next week I will start cleaning up the seems. They are not to bad but in this size I want them to be silk smoth.

Anyone who can recommend a good metal cote fore the engine and cylinder blocks.
I have Tamiya’s metal colours but I am not sure they will do the trick here.

Hi again,

Parts count done - damage control complete.
I am missing:
2 support struts for the front fork. I am pretty sure I can make those from spare tube or my stainless steel chopstick.
The spring loaded fork that supports the front seat cushion. I need to bend some sheet metal to shape.
2 J shaped knee protection bars. Bent welding wire.
2 mud guard side panels. I can do without these or cut plastic card to shape.
2 hoses for the air filters. The size this monster builds into I am pretty sure I will find a spare dia 3mm hose.
The rest is sort of there in the 2 sprues they have thrown in by misstake.



The picture is crap, I will post some close up pictures of the sprues.

The Panzerfaust is my ticket to this forum, right

Manstein's revenge - absolutely right.
They had a big sticker on the box saying that 2 sprues where missing but when I had a look inside I noticed that there where 2 different sprues in the box, I guess they had misspicked the bags while packing.
One sprue with personal gear for the Feldgendarme, this is where I loose a MP40 but get a Sturmgewehr.
In fact it is not a Stg but the paratroper rifle.
List price for this would have been 7 to 10 times as high.

The bike alone or the figure is worth 10$.

I would be tempted to model the bike 'post war civilian custom' and use the figure for a small vignette.

Now breaking down the cost further that would be two models in 1/9 scale for 5$ each!
