Panzer IIs in Africa early on did nto have the turret stowage bin. That came later. Paint can be Panzer gray, RAL 7016, w/o bin (1941), Yellow Brown, RAL8000, w or w/o bin( 1941-42), or Brown, RAL 8020, w/bin (1942/43).
Hey guys,
I always find it intriguing (and perhaps a little 'spooky') that when I'm seriously thinking about a next build or a build that I know I'll be doing shortly down the line a post always pops up asking very relevant questions about it!
I have just stocked up on the majority of the model magazines this month and on the back of one is an advert for the mixed range of new and older Tamiya 1/48 kits.
I was really impressed with the new 1/48 Panzer II and this has moved up the list as a definate 'soon to be built' build! It's looks quite impressive and with those horrid Die-cast chassis gone to Tamiya heaven I'm definately going to be building a LOT more 1/48 Tamiya stuff.
This early Pz II looks very nice and highly detailed - check her out:

Even the top run of track comes 'pre-sagged' and in one long section!
That's the best thing about 1/48 stuff - not only do these smaller builds look great when painted and weathered well but they take up a hell of a lot less space!
Helpful tip re the Panzer II - thanks
Kind regards,
Ben
