Well she is a beauty Gino, I got one the other day but it's a SLA one battered and turned into a road side monument, probably by some palestinian group, its one of their blue ones with a lizard type camo.
it was taken around 2002.
Terry.
ohhh...your building a helicopter next!! multi tasking?
Great work as usual Gino...whats on your plate next?
Jeff
Thanks Stephen. Keep plugging away on yours. I'm sure it will come out great.
Gino, This came out nice. If you considered this a slow build I'd hate to see what you'd think of my pace, one model started in March and still have a ways to go before I'm done.Anywho this one looks great.

jimz66 - Thanks for checking in, glad you like it.
terry35 - Thanks for checking into it for me. No worries, some of the other pics I got here were great. Glad you like how it turned out.
Well Gino you really moved on this one, sorry I did not get back sooner but since I mentioned it to a few guys I have seen nobody since and well it would probably be september before I get to see anybody.
The model looks great, congratulations on another fine build.
Regards,
Nice job Gino. Very well done....
Thanks guys. I actually think this one took me a while. I started it in late June and finished construction in late Jul. Then another two weeks to paint and finish it. For me, that is a long time, especially since I only work on one piece at a time on the bench.
Definitely looks the part, Gino.
Apprentice rivet counter.
wbill76 Nice finish on this one Gino, don't get Mike all excited about helos again or he'll never come back to "earth" again!

Very nice Gino, pretty quick on this one !
the doog Gino, A nice start on this--I'll be back home by Saturday and I'll check some of my reference material. I've got some of those "Armor of the Middle East Wars"-type books that I can go through and see if they have info in there that can help you.

Dont think you read the entire thread .....just sayin .
I haven't decided yet. I may do the colorful US Forces Korea one with Aux Fuel tanks and ESSS wings.
Looks interesting.....I presume you will do the 3ID Dust Off version!!
I will be observing!!
Shellback - Thanks for the compliments. It was a fun build. I learned a lot I didn't know about the Tiran 5 in the process too.
Mike - Thanks for checking in. Next, I think I will go back to a whirlybird; a UH-60L MedEvac in 1/35 using the Academy Blackhawk, Werner's Wings MedEvac Conversion and new Blackhawk decals. It should be fun. Keep an eye on the Helicopter Forum soon for a post about it.
Gino - Outstanding markings, very nice work and very colorful. Love the rear markings
Nice job on the cable along with the front headlights. Tracks look good.
Mark this as target 101....Definatly neutralized!
Good stuff....whats up next??
I like it Gino . Its a vehicle in the IDF armor i hadnt known about .
I have completed my Tiran 5. It was painted using a spray can of Krylon Khaki. I then pieced the markings together from different left over sheets and hand painting. They are based on the below pic (provided above by Scorn, thanks!) of a post '73 Tiran 5. I also based it off some of my research that said the markings on them were very colorful so they would not be confused with Syrian T55s in conflicts with them.
Once the paint was on, I dded the details such as the weapons and gear. The gear is from the spares bin and the IDF ration boxes are from Verlinden. It was then weathered using some rust drybrushing, and a couple washes with dark sandy colors. Finally, the wear ares were picked out with a #2 pencil by rubbing it along high spots.
Enough talk, here she is:
