M4 High Speed Tractor--HOBBY BOSS

You hit right on the button. Personally, the reason I also bought the High Speed Tractor is is because it reminded me of my early model build by Revell. I'm so fond of the tractor because the tracks and the road wheels work and I used  to push it just so that I can hear it squeak. Many of my new models are actually  memories of the earlier models. The High Speed Tractor is a good model. Many AMs can be added to it making it look even better.

This may have to be my third armor build.  A friend of my mother restored one and has it sitting outside his clinic in Grand Prairie, TX next to his restored Dodge WC-18 (if I remember the model correctly) ambulance.  I didn't know there was an M4 kit.

It could be in a hull down position in a nearby hill. Post some photos. it could make some good reference.

awesome little kit,have one 45% complete, (waiting for desk space and some after market ammo to fill the well) gonna try to make a nifty little diorama along with my long tom,m-16 quad 50 half track and AFV club's Beep WC-51 .i'm personnaly very impressed with the Hobby Boss molds and layout and look forward to building more offerings from them.

I got one a few months ago. Boy, you're not kidding about it being a busy kit--the part count is pretty intimidating, and the building plan necessitates a lot of  planning and pre-thought. I was unprepared for the complexity of the kit, to be honest.

I am currently working on the M4 HST, but as a rust bucket. I have to agree that it's a great little kit with lots of nice parts. One of the things to do is re fold the instructions sheet. Mine was folded with the step numbers out of order. No big deal tho. The only major problem that I had/have is the inclusion of rubber band tracks, mine are all distorted and can't be used, even after a soak in hot water. I'll be using some indi links from the Acadamy M3 Stuart.

Yes they do. One is for the 155mm/8" Guns (Field Artillery) and the other is for the 3"/90mm Guns (Air Defense Artillery). I presume the main difference between the two is in the ammunition stowage arrangements. The 90mm/3" ADA guns used a single piece shell, while the 155mm/8" FA guns used a two piece arrangement of seperate powder charges and projectiles.

The 155mm/8inch also had a boom crane to lift the heavy projectiles and lower them to the ground.

That kit is up next for me paired with the M115 8 inch howitzer. That will keep me busy into the winter!!

Looking forward to seeing those builds Redleg. I wish that somebody would do the 90mm AA gun. My fther crewed those (among other things) and I would love to build one for him.

Stick - Yep, the 90 would be great. There really is not any thing to go with the AA version of the M4. The 8 inch build for me will be in memory of my father-in-law who was an M4/8inch soldier. I have been looking at old family photos and planning for a while.
