New Tamiya 1/35 M51 Super Sherman

TD I'm guessing from current releases (BT42 & T26E4) that this kit will hit the online shops for about $37, then through in $12 for shipping and we are talking about $50 landed to my door.

I gotta agree with doog,IDF Shermans rock.If the Tamiya version is too outrageous in price,I would highly recommend the Academy M-51.The DML M-50 is a nice kit as well.You could probably grab both for the price of the Tamiya.I'd be surprised if it hit the shelves at less than $70.

Dragon has had both an M50 and M51 out for years.

I actually did an M50 using a conversion kit years ago--I forget the name of it, but I did it as a "Arab Christian Militia" seen in Lebanon in the 1980s. The baby blue color sold me....

I think they're great looking tanks---big and bulky and dangerous-looking!

Me too !! thats one I definitly have to have,thinks for the info,I had heard about the M50 but not this one,I wonder what kind of tracks they will use ?

I've been following this release as well. The cast hulled Sherman is my favorite one. There was speculation about the kit by some of the guys at Missing Lynx. They waited long enough to release their version . Academy has had a M51 out for many a year and its not a bad kit IMO.
