I was glad to have been able to shake his hand in person as well as Renarts who also got a second place and Keyworth. A pleasure it was also to see thier work first hand that have only seen in the pics here. It was a very enjoyable time being able to actually meet face to face. I'm sure there will be some pics for y'all to have some fun with as well. If it was that fun with 4 of us, should be great with alot of us at the convention. Even though I did'nt place with anything it was well worth going even if I am feeling walking on those great crutches on tarps over a wood floor all day. Almost got interesting once trying to do it and would have gotten an award for sure I would not have wanted!

Junior - That makes twice we've been in the same room and did'nt get to meet. We'll have to try again March 27 at Hobby Town!

Blush [:I] Shucks, thanks guys! I was really suprised by that as there was some really good stuff there!! It was great meeting Mike, Ed and Chris (we'd met once before actually but didn't have time to talk much). Also, Paul Boyer from FSM took photos of my Marder, Mike's "Tiger" I tank (orange real tiger scheme y'all saw him post a while back) and Chris' jeep dio that he had there. Maybe they'll make the magazine sometime.

It was a huge event, 1163 model entries, 195 vendor tables, and lots of folks there!! The Nationals will be in Atlanta next year and really ought to be good!

Hi guys. As Eric mentioned, he and Mike, Chris, Tim (riceball) and I finally got to meet face to face. We had a blast. The show was one great surprise after another. Very well organized. Judging was excellent. The quality overall of the submitted entries was amazing. Paul Boyer was passing out photo op invitations like M&M's :D Expect to see some fine builds in future issues of the magazine. You should have been there! Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Cool [8D]

Eric did a great job, and stood up against some tough judging. Of all the 1164 entries there wasn't a dog in the bunch.
We knew he was under the microscope though when the judges came over to where Paul Boyer was shooting and started giving him the once over again....and asking him questions about his build. He had some tough competition and came out like a trooper.

The best part of the whole thing though had to be getting some face time and spending the day with Eric, Ed and Chris. I think Chris's brother went home with a kit as well so hopefully we'll have a new member in the forum club. All and all those guys made the trip from Florida even better. Wish more of you could have been there and hooked up with us. We all raised a glass to Historyinscale at lunch so he was there with us in spirit.

Congrats to everyone. And I had a great time. And by the way Eric was the host with the most with his field trip to AAA hobbies. What a cool store. Guys... I highly reccomend it. Well worth the trip.

Thanks Eric, Ed and Chris.

Thanks again to everyone for the props! I had a blast just being at the show, meeting Ed, Mike and Chris was the best part and the rest was just icing on the cake and a big suprise to me. We had loads of fun and that's what mattered!

Thanks again all.

Kongratz, Erush. I think the 1st place finish can speak better for your kit. It is a job very very well done, my friend.

Wow, this place is becoming a haven for tournament/competition winners and published modelers.
