Italeri DAK Tiger

Tiger 732 initial, sept-oct '42 build, 10th Pz in Tunisia. Italeri base kit with Tiger Model Designs turret, mantlet and front armor, jordi rubio barrel, and lots of dragon spare parts. I just need some minor tweaks and some more tropen canteens for the turret stowage bin. Tiger 732 was one of the first tigers sent to the 501st as it was a September-ish 1942 build. At some time after being switched to 10th Pz the tool layout was changed with some of the tools stored on the hull side on welded brackets. I could not find a clear enough picture to do the unusual tool design justice so I opted for the Sept tool layout that would have been in place earlier. Another unusual feature is the backwards tow cables. It would probably be alot easier to just build the Tamiya DAK but I had alot of fun building this. Don't mind the messy work area Very Happy You can also make out the AFV club late tiger in the background that I almost have finished building.

It looks great! Yes  There are plenty of guys here who will never become tired of seeing another Tiger like myself.

Looking forward to your next update...

Two for the price of one. Nice. I agree with Andy, you can never get tired of Tigers.

I think it looks great!
Would love to hear more about the parts breakdown and your references.
And it would be really cool to see this guy dressed up in paint :)

Really nice work--it struck me as I was reading this how people sometimes complain about the manufacturers releasing "yet another Tiger". As long as guys keep building them, it seems that they're as popular as ever?

It's cool to see one that's not the usual "shake and bake", too.

Really nice work on this. I still don't get how people can pint armour with everything attached.

The Germans didn't have enough Tigers, and neither can we as far as i am concerned. If only we could get 1,355 all in one place.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
