Millionth Post?

It would be cool if the forum did something like that, but I think you'd have a hard time getting a consensus on whether or not the post "deserves" the award.

I was think along the same lines. Some kits and a Millionth Post Badge. Oh, and the post must be of serious relevance to the hobby profession.

This thread makes me think of another web site I'm on.  Over there my personal post count is 34,600 but that's nothing to my good friend who happens to have a personal post count of over 4,000,000!!! That's a LOT of typing.

4 million? That seems rather impossible. If he were to do 100 posts a day, that equates to 36,500 a year. He'd have to do that for 109 years.

So... Here we are at 855,323 (plus some more in the very recent past) posts...  And we are planning for how to mark or commemorate the... "Millionth Post" (thread lead)... but we are staring at the number 1 BILLION (1,000,000,000) - not 1 MILLION (1,000,000)!

Guessing that we have managed over eight-hundred-fifty-five thousand - plus posts over, what, maybe ten (10)? years or so, I'd guess we could hit the 1 million mark in maybe another year.  How long until we hit the 1,000,000,000th post?  Another 1000 years or so - say around 3012 AD-, if we all keep posting at our current average rate!    Better get posting, guys!
