I really like what you've got here. I am on a cold war kick myself. Just purchased the BTR-40 last week. I really like yours. I dig the faded out green. Let me ask your opinion. Compared the the box are, do the tires in the kit look small to you? Not sure which one is out of whack but the tire size struck me when I opened the kit. They may be spot on, i have no idea...

Love your PT-76 and LR as well, very cool!

็Hi K-dawg,

The tires look OK to me but the whole armor itself when finished is smaller than I expected, much smaller than PT-76. Have you got the BTR-80A from Zvezda? That's my most favorite Russian APC with its shape and  long, powerful gun .

Thanks so much for your kind comments!

I don't have the BTR-80... I am waiting for Trumpeter to work through the whole series. I am in the finishing stages of the Trumpeter BTR-60P right now as well as the BTR-50PK

I have to say that the more I see of "Art Instructor's" work, the more I think that he is a superb modeler and finisher. The models all have a very authentic, heavy look to them, and the weathering is just about perfect.

I only wish that he could join the forums here and join our community as well!

K-dawg - I think the BTR-50 and BTR-60 will be similar in shape and size to BTR-40, but surely they're good to have.

Karl - Many thanks for your kind comments on AI. The only problem with him joining here is the language barrier! And too much on-line time means less productive performance. ;-)

Actually, the BTR-60 is about 2 1/2 BTR's end to end... it's a pretty big machine. The BTR-50 is the same chassis and size as the PT-76.
