That pic is definately worth a diorama!

Go for it, Stikpusher!

If you were to built it in 1/35 a good idea would be to shrink the distance between the tree line and the shore so that both these elements would be represented without the diorama getting too big.

The photo also reminds me of a pic that I found some time ago, and that also woud be suitalbe for a very, very minmalisic diorama on the theme "After the war":

The hardest part would probably be to sculpture the skull...

Deffinatly a nice dio idea, look forward to seeing it.

I can't say i have seen much differenace in the usage on the site. I never used filters, so that sort of thing hasn't changed for me.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Eric , summer for sure , we finally hit the 90's . Been busy here myself but i still manage to look at the new post/ threads like this one . Probably a combonation of the new format and summer activities .

Anyway Stik i'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with on this idea of yours .

Looks like a cool idea, go for it!

As for the "quiet" of the forums...the changeover did something screwy to the way posts are showing up under the filters and if people are using that as a gauge of what's "happening" or not happening then it's very misleading. I stopped using the filters altogether and am only going by the Latest Post date to see when threads have new posts, and it's a pain to keep track of especially if I can't get by daily. Sad

Yes, it sure seems a lot more quiet here since the changeover.

It's summer Carl. Everyone is busy. I think people have jumped ship after the latest forum change.

That would be interesting . Replicating all of that rust , weathering and the beach would be a fun challenge .Yes Where is everyone ? On vacations ?

An LVT pic and dio idea

I was Googling again (put down the coffee and step away from the computer, I know...) and stumbled across this phot on Life's archives. Tarawa after it had become an R&R backwater and a derelict LVT from the assault landings... Shades of Mr Roberts or Away All Boats.
