Academy Tiger I with fully detailed interior....good deal?

Sounds like a good price, to me.

I'm only just learning about the subtle differences between Tiger I marks, but this website has reviews of that particular kit:

I'm sure the more knowledgeable armor buffs can give more detailed reviews.

Exterior is OK but there are more accurate ones available; the fine detail looks clunky. There is one particular 1.48 Tiger that actually has better detail.

Interior is quite poor in terms of accuracy, plus a lot of things are missing.

It is, however, a large and enjoyable project.

great price troublemaker66. with a full interior. and might add the only game in town if you want one with an interior if you want i reworked the instructions so i could add all 92 rounds and ammo bags for the 3 to 5 thousand MG ammo I'm just needing to find the early vision block for the driver it's the late and you need early. oops unless you have a late Tiger.

Thanks David. I`m not that concerned about being totally accurate, I just want a good fitting kit. With all the dtail parts in the box, it`s hard to believe that alot of stuff is missing! I do believe you...just saying...

Build it oob and enjoy,dont worry about the accuracy.There is a photo-etch set available to dress it up a bit and is reasonably priced also. If you feel the need there is some good info and pics online. Mr. Byrden has a very good site as well as Alan Hamby. Have fun.

Recently, aircraft builders have been getting some very nice kits with full interiors at modest prices - for example: the ROG 1/72 B-17G..

It would be nice if more armor kits had interiors.

I've been considering purchasing and building some 1/25 Polish paper armor kits simply because they have interior details.

That price seems good to me.

I built the kit a few years ago, the major errors are the turret shape but hardly noticeable and the ammo stowage. The kit has 3off side by side when it should be 4off. A lot can be added by some fun scratch building. here's a link to my build

I kicked around the idea of using parts of the interior fromthis kit in a Tamiya kit . Looks like the basics are there and can be inhanced with some scratch building . I bought one of these when they first came out . $ 24 sounds like a good price to me .
