Kenny, thanks for the explanation of how you achieved this with the foil.  It gave some excellent results and will be trying your method out myself.  Was wondering how you did this

I have used Bill's build for reference and made mine from foil, using a cocktail stick to do the embossing. Very easy to do

I didn't scratch-build the ammo bins on my build, I used the parts available in an Eduard PE upgrade set.

Having said that, if I were to go about scratchbuilding them I would use some thin aluminum or brass sheet and scribe in the necessary "X" reinforcements from the back side using something hard to emboss the pattern on the outer surface. HTH!
