Dragon 1:72 AAVP7A1 Weathering

Andys,
            Typically the topside, depending on the vehicle’s age appears faded, especially when driving ashore.  For the initial moments of feet dry from a point just above the waterline the AAV looks shinny and new.  Once a bit of driving was done though sand and dirt clung to the freshly wet hull.  Be careful with the amount of seaweed/kelp you apply as we avoided those beds because they would clog the water jets.

Daniel, thank you for a lot of great pics and advice. By the way, how did you make this great water?

I have weathered the AAV, but it didn't turn out as I expected. Too faded and I believe that I weathered the amtrack's suspension too much. It doesn't look bad. I just expected something else :(

I'll post the pictures soon.

Also, I have another AAV in my stash, so I'll give the just-came-ashore look another try (:
