Just as a suggestion I'd try using some liquid polly on the area, let it get soft and then use a chisel shaped cutter or a good scalpel blade to make the marks

I have a set of triangular sectioned files. I roughly go over the surface until I get the look I'm aiming for

Adding Cutting-Torch details?
Posted by Hinksy on Saturday, January 5, 2013 10:07 AM

Hi guys,

A quick question: I'd like to add some cutting-torch effects to the ends of the interlocking blocks on my Elefants Casemate? The cutting detail is shown on the box art but the casemate only has weld lines - the cutting torch effect is shown on the big block ends where it all interlocks and looks like several fine rough horizontal lines? I'm assuming these lines are left by a cutting torch?

Now I'm getting a lot better I really want to get these details in place - how can I add these details? Is there a recognised method?

Thanks fellas - I'll be updating my blog later too. I'm out tonight but have a couple of hours now to get a bit done
