After a succesful week long search and rescue operation for the instruction sheet I was once again able to continue assembling the big beast. Big Smile [:D]

All the accessories are put on the interior. I added some straps to the jerry cans and ammo shelves. Still have some decaling to do and some additional wash and drybrushing. Also going to add some straps across the doghouse holding down some bedrolls and such. I still hate to think how hard it was for the driver to get in his seat.

This is one of the ammo can storage shelves that I added straps across. Did'nt look exactly like I wanted but should be ok with the limited visibility they have with the cab on.

A shot of the 5th wheel in place. Still going to be doing alot more drybrushing of steel and rust and then applying a grease coating of oil paint. The pe ehaust cover which so far has been the only problem with the kit ( not caused by myself) is there. Thanks to some advice from Robert, finally got it on this morning.

Next to do is the tandem winches which look intemidating and appetizing at the same time. Anyone that might see something, go ahead and point it out, I have a bad habit if over looking things ( just ask my wife, she'll tell you). Blush [:I]

Coming along nicely Chris ... glad I could help on the PE.

Have fun with the winches ..... they're a kit in themselves.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

I only hope my interiors come out THAT good. How do you make buckles on straps?

Martian- Not sure about the buckles, still don't have any on the straps. Not really a major problem on the inside stuff since it's a little hard to se but I need to figure out something for the ones one the roof. I'll let you know if I figure out a way.

Kenneth- I don't feel so bad now about loosing them. I was just trying to figure out how something the size of a book could just come up missing.

Thanks for the comments.

Wow, great looking interior. Mine didn't come out nearly that nice. But I found this kit to be absolutely amazing. I must have spent at least 80 hours on it. I didn't bother putting too much effort into the interior, as during the assembly I prefit the cab to see what would be visible, and found out that much of my work would have been invisible anyways.
For the exhaust cover, I did not use the Tamiya part, but found a fine-grade copper mesh from a plumbing store and used that. They make all sorts of screens for various things. THe beautiful part is, they're really easy to bend and keep the shape.

Thats a great tip about the screens, I would have never thought about that. Too bad I allready glued on the pe one. Definatly keep that in mind though. I know what you mean about not seeing much of the interior , thats why I'm not to worried about the buckels. I am doing the doors open though so more can be seen.

Fantastic LQ. I'd love to get my hands on this kit, but at the equivalent of $250 USD at my LHS, its a bit out of my price range. Thanks again for the pics.
