An excellent expression of your artistic abilities!  Hats off!  The finished wood base really draws my attention to the model, rather than having a "diorama" distract my focus on the truck itself.  I am impressed!

Thank you very much!

M.T,

Your LRDG is very nice, but you made a mistake due to Tamiya. Your LRDG is a "R patrol" operated by a Kiwi crew, the logo on the bonnet for "R patrol" is a Wei Tiki green with a red tongue and not a Kiwi on a red earth. The Kiwi logo was for the "T Patrol". In the meantime, vehicule names of a "R Patrol" start with a "R" like Rotowero, Rotorao....Unfortunately, if we can find a lot of informations about "T Patrol" armement and  the name of each vehicule with its patrol number (T9, T8,T7...), it is not the same for a "R Patrol".

Outstanding, superb work here! I too think you nailed it with the weathering--gorgeous model!!

This would look awesome sitting on a simple base with a dude and a camel!

Thanks doog!

This is certainly the best Tamiya Chevy I've seen. Such a superbly done model deserves a few figures and a base! Excellent work.

Thanks!  Maybe later on.

Thanks you. They look really good. Maybe I won't be afraid to use them on the kit I have now.

These had flash right down the middle.  It will take a little work to get them cleaned up.

Are the tires the kit rubber tires or after market? Its hard for me to see well enough to see what they are on the computer screen.

Looks great I really like the weathering, by the way how did you do the paint chipping?

Thanks Clint!

I use small paint brush and Tamiya Nato Black in this case.

WOW !!! I'm simply amazed at the high level of workmanship that you Armor guys continue to display. I am primarily an Aircraft guy, mostly because when it comes to Armor I don't know very much. Thanks for taking the time to post your work. I can study the photos and learn from them. I do have some 1/48 Armor kits to build and display alongside some Aircraft. Keep up the good work !!!           Bob

Thanks Bob!

I do aircraft as well and a lot of the same techniques do cross over.  So dive in and do some of that armor.

Like this a lot.  Especially the ammo out where you can get to it.  Lots of these LRDG builds forget the ammo.  Know if I was manning a gun I'd like to have it handy when the going got real hot, and not have to dig through the various packages and tarps, etc.

Thanks!

I agree!   if I'm living on this truck I want my ammo close.
