Thanks!

Already dry fitted the gun tub.  Fits and rotates.  So far anyway.

Hello!

Nice work on the cockpit. It looks good. Also worth noting, the personal heater (in front of the casings' chute) was sometimes removed in Vietnam to make more space for additional 40mm ammo.

Look out with that turret/mount roration axis - if you glue this at this early stage, you might get problems to get the mount to fit AND to rotate.

Keep up the good work and good luck with this one, have a nice day

I have added the rear deck panels and added a few bits of wire.  Then I moved on to installing the Verlinden drivers compartment.  Not quite pinished, but here are some pictures.

More work on the Duster.  I did some detail work to the battery access door and added all the wheels.

Pawel
Verlinden interior looks nice, but please be careful with that ammo! It sure looks messy on the box top, and in field the rounds are always handled in four round clips to make loading faster.

And Pawel finds the source of my bemusement--that empty casings neatly disposed of beneath the track might transmogrify atop the engine deck.  Or that ammunition loaded into clips by loading machines would have a sloppy, loose, fit and leave live ammunition bouncing about one's ride.

(Which pales in comparison to the 7 tonne flak gun shown lowered into a basement with almost no fields of fire--but, it was quite a well-executed bit of dio . . . )

Now, back to the action, the drama, as MrT recreates a Duster . .  .

I decided to start work on the M-42 today.  Hull and suspension work started with the torsion arms assembled with the wheels next.

Pawel

Hello Terry!

Since you already mentioned my name, I kinda HAVE to be in this one, isn't it so? Big Smile

You sure have a nice load of goodies to start with. That Verlinden interior looks nice, but please be careful with that ammo! It sure looks messy on the box top, and in field the rounds are always handled in four round clips to make loading faster. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your progress, good luck with this one and have a nice day

Paweł

Thanks Pawel!  I will look for more of your insight.

CapnMac82

VLP always manages to to do things in their photos that make me smile.

Not for the reasons they probably intend, though.

Will get extra popcorn for the Mr T Duster project <waits patiently>

Thanks!

Here are some more goodies!

After reading through Pawel's Duster thread I got inspired to start mine.  I got the AFV kit last June and have been collecting stuff for it ever since, but enough is enough lets get started.
