Really nice work Yes !

I wanted to build a BP42 train since I've seen it in Waldemar Trojka's Panzerzug#1 back in 2001.

The only problem is (Trumpeter offers the whole thing in 1:35) the insane length of this beast !!!

So I've decided to build "only" one half of the train, from the locomotive to the Panzerjägerwagen.

I'm gonna start this project when I moved into my new house, finally with my own workroom                        (scale modelling cave Big Smile) .

It will still be a diorama with about 3 meters length... I'm planning to replace the 7,62cm F.K. 295/1 (r) guns with the 10,5cm leFH18/40 from AFV Club . I already  have all the kits at home now all I need is enough space to get started.

Has someone ever build the complete train (where do you store it Huh?) ?

Thanks much for your kind comments, Jumo!

If you move into a new house I suggest you build  a wall-based display case to keep your train set. I have images to show my 3.00 m wide x 2.40 m high x 0.45 m deep with 11 shelves including wooden floor. Each shelf is wide enough for double railway tracks in 1:35 scales as you can see in the images:

For standarrd 1:35 armors, each shelf can hold 4 rows x 13 armors per row = 52 armors. So 11 shelves = 572 armors.

Nice work Model Maniac. You don't see things like this everyday and it is really inspirational when these things show up on the forum. Although probably out of my skill range at the moment, it gives me great ideas about things I will try in the future.

ghost180, thanks for your kind comments. I have another one railcar in stock, it's German Kanonen & Flakwagen which you may find as interesting as this one.

Karl, thanks so much for your kind compliments on AI's work. Though you said "no", I'll pass on the words to him. ;-)

BTW, did you remember a few years ago I asked you about a song named "Dream On" which I forgot the vocalist's name. I told you that its lyrics read:

"If you know what you want

And you know how to get it

Don't let any man let you forget it

If you know what you mean

You won't regret it

Dream on

That's what I say

You Dream On

Till love comes your way

You Dream On..."

You told me didn't recall the song or its lyrics. Now I've found it and you can listen. The vocalist was Russ Ballard and there's also a version from King Kobra:

Do you recall the song now? It's quite a nice song! My favorite!
