Thank you.  I have just been told that when we have more space available, this case will be increased to three more shelves.  Again, this was all her idea I didn't even know it was happening.

Note my stash on the bottom shelf.  The new Firefly that I'm dreading on top.  

I think I'll put the WWII German helmet she bought me on top of the case.

Looking at the boxes in there, now that I'm sober , they're actually false books.  I'm thinking it'd be cool to give them titles along the spines like, "War As I Knew It - George S. Patton," "Lost Victories - Eric von Manstein," etc.  and then maybe still create terrain on top of them (or leave them painted as books), then put appropriate vehicles on top.  Maybe?

nice. all of us who have wives who offer support for our hobby are indeed fortunate. i can make spines easy enough with the right dimensions. could probably just scan a spine from my library and size it.

About a year ago, my wife cleaned out our spare bedroom and said it was mine to use for my model building. It contains a huge desk, L-shaped monstrosity with display shelves and tons of storage. WooHooo, heaven for me!!!

After a couple months, I got kicked outta there to make room for her niece who was living with grandma and not gettin along very well. Now, I'm working from a tiny desk in a corner of our living room. I have to climb out from the chair as there's no place to slide it to.

In my experience, those sorts of niceties are either: A) very temporary, or B) come at extreme costs.

My wife supports my hobby completely,sometimes goes to the LHS with me,accompanies me to shows,helps me with lost parts on the ground,never questions my purchases,of course I do control myself,provides cash when it's gift time,so I can use it for kits and supplies.I am definitely appreciative of her.I even drag her around to different military museums within reason.
