Bronco Marder II D

Spent the last three months working on this very nicely detailed kit by Bronco. Only major change (due to personal preference, not an issue with the kit) was the use of MK workable tracks. Blows the Alan kit out of the water completely, no question about it. Finished as a vehicle serving on the Russian Front in September 1943 or thereabouts. Looks very real and as others have mentioned, not overdone weathering.

Bronco should use this pics to put them on the boxes or website...!

, thanks for the comments! This vehicle and it's more famous cousin, the Marder III, were the epitome of expedient designs in terms of getting heavy-duty AT capability in a hurry! Smile

A real nice job, Bill! A fine representation---I finally get to see how the rear screen detail looks. I scratched some on the back of my Alan kit where they had it solid armor there.

Strange to see a kit show up "done" without a Bill-blog, but I know you've been busy! Wink

the funny thing about the Marder II Ds...the later variants replaced the mesh with solid armor to speed up their production! The mesh does look better IMHO and Bronco provided an excellent way to tackle it IMHO. Glad you like the buckaroo! Beer
