Amusing Hobby 1/35 Panzerkampfwagen VII Lowe ( Complete )
Posted by hummingbird on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 12:21 PM

Good day to you Gents.

Well, here comes yet another finished kit from me. This time, it's a paper-panzer from a relative new company called Amusing Hobby. And the vehicle is called '' Lowe ''

I decided to buy a set of voyager etch for this baby regardless of its own etch parts and this will be the last time I will buy Voyager. It's too complicated. Anyway, most of the tank is build out of box apart from the voyager set, the IR devices, the commander cupola replacement and roughing up the cast texture even more.
The IR devices was bought from Great Wall Hobby and one salvaged from my Trumpeter E-100.
The Commander cupola was, in my opinion, directly behind the breech so I moved a bit further to the left like the Tigers or Panthers.
The cast texture was roughened up even more just for some visual interest.
I also bought a box of Tamiya German Tank crew so that I can both add more visual interest and practice painting figure.

I painted this all in Tamiya colours; dark yellow, red brown and olive green. Clear green was used for the optics. Chippings were made with hair-spray and I chipped with hull-red to show the primer colours. Only a small amount of chipping with Camo Black-Brown was made. The crew were painted with Vallejo for the skins, Tamiya and Vallejo for the uniforms ( I am ,however, not happy with the condition of the figures)

The close ups shots for the muds, the crew. the on-board equipment, the exhaust, the wheels and as usual, my show case photos from various angles can be found on my blog so just follow the link ( I had to take a lot of photos so sorry guys )

Thanks in advance for any feed back you guys might have. Thank you guys for always supporting me.
Until Next time.

I didn't know there was a kit of this. Is it a new release. I know what you mean about Voyager PE. I used my first set last year, and what a pain.

Nice work on the build and well done on the figures to. I always struggle with those.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

http://forums.savage2.com/images/smilies/shout.gif Good call on the hatch relocation, looks reasonable to me.

The turret texture and weathering look great - I like this despite some very minor glitches.

I've got this one on the shelf and am currently thinking it out while still pounding awayhttp://www.corvetteconti.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/smiley-yell.gifon my VK 45.02.

Will all of us ever finish a kit without glitches? LOL ...

IF you have this, you should really build this.... You will enjoy it. I really loved the build .. I'm so glad I bought it

It's not a new release. It's been around since this year March ( I think ).

I hate Voyager. Give me Eduard anyday.

Figures are my bane :(

Great job on this monster! It looks like a chore to fit that in the display case! That gun is massive!

I agree--good call on the placement of the cupola. And the figures look fine---figure painting takes a lot of practice and a critical eye. Time will make you better at it if you critically and honestly critique yourself.

It's cool that you put them in in the first place.

The finishing is really nicely done. Weathering and camo all look superb!

Many thanks sir. That gun is massive indeed. Very long. Figure painting is just too hard but I will get there... I won't give up.

I have to concur with Voyager sets, I have one for Dragon's Jagdtiger and just looking over it, it seems very complicated and I'm sorta regretting having bought it.

Great build, I love the roughed up fenders, wheels etc. The texture, chipping, camo pattern is all A1. Very nice detail work, something you should be very proud of. Thanks for showing it.  BTW, nice kit...

I hate painting figures, but the uniforms seemed a little shiny. In almost every pic I've seen, those guys especially tank crews didn't looked very neat. A little wash might tone them down a bit.
