Thank you very much for the kind words Jeff!! I will admit I was pretty nervous with this being my first winter scheme!

AWESOME build. That is one mean looking little half track. You did a beautiful job of painting and weathering. It's a contest winner. Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks Greg, Bill, and Ernest!! I do agree, that big ole gun makes it look pretty mean mounted in the back!

Very nice work Eric!  I really like that winter camo scheme you applied!  Plus this is just a sweeet looking halftrack with that big AT gun sitting in the back!!

Hi Eric,

You scared the glögg out of my cup there - I am lucky I had a slow connection Cool
Always keep a CPR handy!

Very nice job!
I especially like the way the Winter Camo came around and the weathering of the running gear.

Good luck with your new project and all the best for 2014!

Very Best Regards
Johan

Thanks garzonh! The decals were actually included in the kit and are very nicely rendered along with all the data plates.

Eric, if you feel like going a little "extra mile" on it, I feel like this vehicle and the paint job you put on it would be the perfect candidate for a judicious "sponge chipping" on those nice, long fenders and hood.A lil' bit o' mud on those fender tops where the crew climbed in and out would be appropriate too, if you get the ol' mud bug in ya. :)

Just my suggestion; by no means a criticism. :)

Hey hey now, there are SOME chips, just not very big ones. And a bit of mud on the undercarriage and drive but I probably didnt do a very good job of capturing that in my picture frenzy.

Seriously, it's really beautifully painted, --- if a bit clean for me. Wink

Rise up from the dead my precious, rise up....

I have finally got around to finishing this track up. It took some long hours and incantations from the Necronomicon to get it back to life, but I finally got a heartbeat. I did go ahead and add the jerry cans and racks from scratch pe framework. I also just noticed that I forgot to paint that little exhaust stub, so I will go back and hit that before it goes on the shelf. So, here are the finished pics.

I know I know, I went a little pic crazy but I couldn't help it. I received a new camera as a gift from my coworkers and it takes much better pics that my iPhone did (although to give it credit, it did do a fair job). Thanks for taking a gander!! Off to the next project!!!

Thanks guys! This one has stalled just a bit due to other obligations. Prepping for a show in Middle Tennessee this weekend and hopefully afterwards I can get back to this one and wrap it up!

Eric, that's looking pretty good--- bummer about your wash. That problem you had is actually the very reason that MG said had had and that caused him to invent his line of washes, so as to be more consistent and predictable. In any case, I couldn't tell where the old vs the new was!
