Hi guys,
I'm clearing out display cases some....these are some old builds that I'm going to be selling. If I can get a few bucks for them, I figure it's better than just junkin' 'em. Most of these were built before 1995--yeah, they're OLD! No photo-etch here, no indy-link tracks, nothing but some styrene strip-detailing in a few cases. All "old school". with old-school finishing ala' Shep Paine--you know; washes and drybrushing, lol. You can see too, that my figure painting skills have improved since then!
I apologize if this post sounds like an "ad"--not intended to be. I figured I"d post them up here because: 1) a few USA or British vehicles (which I normally don't do) and, 2) they're all relatively "clean" builds--and I normally don't do those either. Kind of a look-back to my earliest modeling days, when I was rather an "intermediate" modeler, before the FSM forums existed. I thought I"d share them with you all before they go off to good homes. Hope you enjoy them!
A trio of old Tamiya light tanks.
Old Tamiya M10
Monogram 1/32 Duster
Tamiya Sheridan
Old Tamiya Dodge truck (?)
I forget the name of this weird thing--I built it as an "escorted Engineer's vehicle" in Vietnam. It's some kind of obscure company's M-something-or-other. I'm betting Rob Gronovius will know? Home-made sandbags there!
Tamiya M577 in Reforger colors
DML JS2 Stalin--this one has indy link tracks and the corrected hull/track clearance.
Italeri Opel Maultier Flak kitbash. This was a conversion that I first saw in one of Shep Paine's books, and did one myself. I believe that Italeri has since come out with one complete kit.
Russian BMP in Afghanistan War colors.
Flak 37 vignette.
Italeri M109A2
. I like this model so much that I recently bought another to build exactly as-is, but with better detailing, paint, and indy-tracks.
DML Kugelblitz
A trio of old ESCI Pz I variants
Ancient Tamiya Matilda
ESCI 1/72 M113 ACAV
Tamiya Australian M113 variant---I forget the designation.
ESCI 1/72 Sdkfz 7 and 88mm flak vignette
ESCI 1/72 Bishop vignette
Hope you liked them, guys! They're off to the auction-house to free up some much-needed space in the ol' display cases! Thanks for looking in!
