I have the very old Tamiya Leopard kit (#35064), and I was wondering what I should do with it.
I'm fully aware that this kit has many big accuracy issues (turret and hull !), and I don't want to build it as is in order to get yet another practice vehicle for weathering, as I already have enough now.
What I'm looking for are some cool building ideas that will get my creative juice going (I know it sounds weird saying it like that ... )
Either do a kitbash fantasy "what-if" non-existent AFV using stuff from my spare box or trying to get it fully accurate wise without spending a fortune on AM parts (like an A1).
Anyone could help me here ?

It is a good base kit for some sort of "what if" WW2 stretched into the 60s tank. Like Luft 46, build it along with some detail bits from a WW2 tank, zimmerit, side skirts from strip styrene, etc.
How about modifying it to look like the ones dressed up as Panthers for "A Bridge Too Far"?

Well we see the occasional "Battle of the Bulge" M-47/King Tiger. But I don't think that anybody has done the Leopard.
Do a wwII style Bergpanzer, delete hull, square box, or if you are feeling adventurous, do a proper Leo based AVRE

The Leopard Panther from "A Bridge Too Far"was the theme tank award winner at the AMPS 2014 Tanks on Film show. It earned a gold in the sci-fi/fantasy category.

At least they didn't just do a new paint job and add WW2 German crosses. There was an attempt to make a current, available tank appear to look like an actual WW2 German tank. Back then, this movie would be shown in a theater, drive-in or at home on ABC's Thursday Night Movie or Sunday Night Movie.
This is one a buddy of mine did off the same kit that I had done a semi-scratched A1A1 conversion on. I think it came out pretty neat, did well at a recent show, mainly because Gary (my buddy) is an awesome painter.

I'll second that. Build a Maschinen Krieger tracked vehicle. You can really let your imagination run wild.
