A Frustrated Armour Model Builder in Russia?
Posted by Sprue-ce Goose on Thursday, April 2, 2015 1:49 PM

I noted the photo in an advert on the FSM forum web page:

For some reason, those colours look suspiciously similar to WWII German armour colours ...................Hmm

I always wondered what happened to German paint stocks when the Soviets overran the factories.........good thing the Germans abandoned Zimmerit before the war ended.........Whistling

The Germans never used that kind of three color camo pattern in WWII.  At least, the frustrated modeler got a little bit creative.

I've always liked the "ambush pattern" ................
Well, it was more creative than overall rust red...................perhaps the painter didn't have access to an airbrushHmm

That is more like an "AMBUSHED http://www.nevadashooters.com/images/smilies/th_smiley_emoticons_zombie02.gif PATTERN".

The pattern actually reminds me a bit of some designs drawn for cartoons created and broadcast during the very early 1960sHmm
