BTW, my tracks are weathered, quite nicely IMO, but unfortunately it did not show through very well in the pics, so it almost looks as if they are not weathered at all. I'll try to get some better pics of them.

Nice work!  Thanks for posting!  One thing you might want to do is remove that MG barrel from the mantlet.  It's protruding way too far.  The tank didn't have some super long MG -- they just mounted a normal MG34 with an armored sleeve but it was the same length as other MG34s.  Hope this helps.

It's very nice,I like the worn paint on the fenders.I thinks the tracks are nicely weathered,although the rubber bands don't do your build any justice.Blackened exhaust also looks great

Oh believe me I had models like that too. To be honest it's not my first Armor build, it's my first "real life" armor build. Before this I used to model Warhammer 40k Space Marines, including their armored vehicles, so I have a bit of experience. Still a challenge though as you need to look at pictures of real tanks to figure out how and where you should weather it and show wear. With the Warhammer models, it was kind of more like wherever you wanted to as long as the effect was believable. Thanks for the feedback and kind words!

Thanks for your kind words as well. Yeah I accidentally put that back on sticking out too far. It was another casualty from my son's "adventures". It happened to be the only piece that got broken off that I found. I would gladly have traded finding it with finding the clamps that hold the tow cables on the top and the one on the side as well as the headlamp and those other tiny pieces. The reason being is that I could easily just buy an aftermarket MG34 from Master and be set. Those clamps and such, no luck there, only option is to fabricate my own and I'd rather not because they would look "off".

By the way, the tow cables are actually picture hanging wire, well actually mirror hanging wire because I needed a larger diameter than most picture wire comes in. The plastic kit ones were destroyed (by my son) so I was only able to salvage the plastic ends which I drilled out then inserted the ends of the mirror wire. So that's why they appear slightly off.

Man, it's scary to see the level that newcomers like yourself are capable of these days, lol. Makes guys like me who took years to learn their craft realize how much we have to keep on our modeling toes with talented guys like you out there! That Tigger looks really awesome! I ike very much the metal patina look it has on the skirts and fenders and definitely real wire looks perfect for the tow cables. The metalish look it has, gives a sense of weight. My kits always seem.... plastich-ish...

Just would like to see how you achieve the colors...woul had been nice...

Thank you very much sir. I didn't document my WIP because I honestly wasn't sure how it would turn out or if I would like the end result. As you can see though, I was happy with it and then kicked myself for not recording my WIP. Not to fear! I have 3 more Tiger I models on deck (2 Tamiya(1/35 & 1/25) and one Dragon (1/35)) that I will be doing the same techniques on. I will be sure to document it this time to show how I achieved the effects so that those of you interested can give it a try. Stay tuned!

I actually have been on your site and plan on buying a bunch of the goodies you have there. I'm glad I found your site! I plan on getter the track set, but where is the correct sprocket wheels that you show on your build? I wanted to pick those up as well. Your tigers are awesome by the way, make sure you post them on the forum here once all of them are finished!

My tiger is here since a long time, not finish yet, because i wait and wait for more accessories to my model.

I have to echo Karl (doog). I have been building armour kits for years, I would be happy now with a finish like that. That's a real beauty. I have to get myself one of these big kits, how was it to build.

Hey Bish. Long time no talk! Man that kit was a blast. I picked it up at Hobbies Unlimited, my LHS for $135. It's the Second release version. I almost foolishly bought it off ThiefBay for $390! Glad I didn't! Man this kit was a blast to build. I couldn't bring myself to put it down. I recommend it to anyone who is interested. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a second one!(the box in the background is it, unopened as of yet). Probably going to model that one in the standard grey.
