Hi again,
Summer turned to Autumn and wow is June allready gone?

My Terminator got some attention now when the leaves are falling...

My first misstake was to allow the turret to fall over backwards.

This has been corrcted in the second build:

As mentioned earlier the kit sits to high.

I have tried to correct this by pushing up the swing arms.

Original position:

New position:

Result:

3mm Lower.

Appart from all other visable imperfections....Still enyoing the build :)

Very Best Regards
Johan

Hi,

I continue making misstakes during the build process but this one is not mine.

The stance of the kit has not been corrected, and the suspension makes the body ride to high..

Not an issue if you are not worried about such detail and can be partly corrected by pushing the swing arms up while the cement is curing.

Carefully though, the attachments are fragile and best drilled out out and replaced with a soft steel rod.

As you can see I have already broken one and there is no way I can attache the swing arm again without reinforcement.

The shock absorebers will need to be re positioned as well. This is easy enough with a sharp blade.

It is a very nice kit though, comes at half the price of the Meng withe very nice detail OOB.

Best Regards

Quick update,

This is not a "shake and bake".

I counted my number of errors to 20 so far, all due to me not sticking close enough to the instructions.

No short cuts here and since the plastic is rather soft allow every sub assembly to cure thoroughly.

I am using Revell Contacta and have extended the cure time from one day to four days.

Hi,

Does anyone know if I need to correct the position of the swing arms in order ti lower the hull?

This was a must in the T-90 and as fare I can see it has not been corrected in this kit.

Hi,

Camera is still OOO so for sprueshots please use the links above.

Had a go at the turret sub assembly yesterday but messed up completely.

To much Gin in the Tonic, I am sorry...

Will do this one as trial, love the simplicity of the Star.

Terry,
There is a Big Mac index, I know it is silly but it kind off makes sence ;)
Example;
MENG T-90 is 80$ in the US.
Equals to 17 Bic Mac's.
In Sweden I need to pay 23.

Thank you!

Very Best Regards

Thats a real effective camo pattern and I agree with Karl, like to see some close up shots.

Big Macs......funny.

Hi Tojo72,

I have the Meng in the stash but honestly - it is intimidating!

This looks more like a shake and bake :)

Very Best Regards

Hi,
Zvezda have released their BMPT Terminator.
Got the kit from the LHS yesterday, unfortunately my camera has given up on me :|

The picture is from the Internationale Spielwarenmesse in Nurnberg 2015.

Sprue shots are available at Armorama, inbox review by Jim Starkweather;

Bargin price, 10 Big Mac's.
The MENG is 20 Big Mac's.

The stance of the lower hull has not been corrected, this could be fixed by pushing the swingarms upward and cutting down the side skirts  on their T90.
Not sure if it will be noticeable on this one....we will see :)

Anyway, lots of bang for the buck!

Very Best Regards
Johan
