As discussed elsewhere, it would seem to be a mock-up mounted on an existing APC chassis.  I absolutely love the look though!  The first thing I though was that it could have come from the Japanese anime "Ghost In The Shell".  The lower weight carries some disadvantages, especially in protection, but the advantages would include easier deployment & support, lower unit and operational costs, and assuming more are bought in lieu of expensive heavy MBTs, availability in greater numbers.  I'm not sure if any wheeled AFVs carry a 120mm gun yet, but once that happens, at least firepower won't suffer.

Didn't someone already post this? Still this is awesome Steve! At 35 tonnes (metric I assume?) it seems like it wouldn't carry much in the way of armour though.

I was curious and started a search for a possible replacement for the Abrams just for grins, and ran across this. It looks just like something out of that old 70's video game "Battlezone" to me. Boy I doped a lot of quarters into that game.
