Tamiya 1:35th Steyr 1500/01 w/ verlinden upgrade (resin and pe)
Posted by TigerEP1 on Saturday, July 18, 2015 2:08 AM

Ok so while i am waiting to get another 250/10 halftrack to correct the issues on the dragon model i have decided to start on this beauty of a kit:

She came with goodies :

and here are some progress shots :

That is where i am at atm with this. everything was hand painted, ill try to get brighter pics next go. I also have cleanup to do before i move on to the body (which i may end up buying the CMK resin kit with the ambulance body)

Nice start, good to see one of these.

So what's the issue with the /10 that requires another one.

Love Tamiya kits. I really wanted to get this little guy, but settled on their Opel Blitz instead. I'll be watching with interest.

Tiger, ye, I saw that post. But wasn't sure how another /10 would correct that. I thought someone suggested the Tamiya PaK 36.

You are indeed correct...lol good thing i didn't order it yet

in other news i have made some progress, as these pics show it is mostly test fitting with the outer body panels being glued together.

I hope to get color on the body tomorrow then i can move forward :)

This is a neat little vehicle that should provide a nice contrast to the Armor in our display case! It's looking like a fine build so far!

Thanks jersey66, I am looking forward to it.

made a little more progress, finished the second front seat, and laid a base coat down.

The lighting makes the brown way more red than it is, i'll need to fix that...lol

once again everything is mocked up.

I have a question if anyone can answer. The backs of the chairs, were they grey or wood colored? I went with grey but i can change it if needed.

Nice work Tiger. The backs of the chairs look like wooden slats to me. I would go for wood.

Dude! Get rid of that green paper under your build! It totally skews the colors of your photos. Honestly, I can barely see enough color reference to make any kind of opinion on your color scheme.

Oh yeah, that's MUCH better!

Your model looks great now! The seat color is really well-chosen. It looks like supple leather!
