It's been a long time.....
Posted by tigerman on Sunday, July 19, 2015 4:24 PM

since I posted anything relevant. LOL I've taken a building hiatus for the past 3 years due to getting laid off from my long-term job, to going thru a divorce. Yes, it's been a a difficult past four years. Can't believe the time has passed that quickly. I look at my builds and am inspired to begin building anew probably this fall. I won't start a GB, but you never know. :) I have a few kits that were started: a Dragon Tiger I and a Pz III that were both incomplete from my GB's. I do love GB's. I meet very cool people who have been very inspired and most I've known for many years within the forums. It's also a pleasure to meet new members and see their progress here as well. I consider everyone friends for you have been a vital part of my life for the past 12 years. I hope to be more of a participant then a lurker.

Happy modeling to all. Please keep those builds coming for you keep the hobby alive in my heart.

I know you have not been completely absent Eric, seen you post now and again. But will be good to have you back full time. And defiantly look forward to seeing you put some bits of plastic together.

And while we have lots of GB's, we seem to have an absence of purely armour GB's. So one of those in the future won't go amiss.

Thanks guys. You both are long-time friends here. Wish I could meet you both, but there are a lot of miles between us.

Recently two of my local model friends are moving clear across the country. They were my local model friends. No one around home anymore, so my forum friends are pretty much all I have, but I'm glad to call you my friends. Always.

Eric, it is good to see you getting more active here again. I'm sorry to hear about the rough times, but it sounds like you're putting them behind you now. I do look forward to seeing more of your work here. It's been to long.

Ack Eric, I was hoping things would be settled down for with time. It's good to have you back though and building something is always good to keep your mind off things.

Sorry to hear of the lack of armor in the GB forum. I really enjoyed my times there. I just wish I could have gotten more builds completed. I'm overdue. I might need to pull a Tamiya kit and slap it together. Yes, easier said then done. I do have a couple of wheel builds I could do. Just need that dreaded word: TIME.

The last one was the 2 armour in the west GB's which finished in May. But we are a bit over whelmed with GB's at the moment. But the armour forum does certainly need more builds in there.

Hi Eric, welcome back!

Three years since completing a build, you are overdue then.  Looking forward to see what you plan to bring to the bench.

Hey Eric,

You and I have been "out of the game" for a bout the same amount of time. Life does get in the way. In my case, it's motivation. Just can't get the fire going. Still have about 50+ kits in the stash......

anyway...good to see you on the boards again.

Hi Eric. Nice to have you back. I'm still kinda the new guy around here, only been a member for about 3 years, so I joined while you were on Hiatus. But I think I did see you pop up on a post here and there. Anyway it's good to see veteran members come back as we need them to help inspire us younger members with their great work! So welcome back sir! By the way everyone, after three years I still haven't told everyone my name, it's Chad.

THERE you are!!  I was wondering what happened to you Eric!  Welcome Back buddy!  I've been on a modelling hiatus myself for the last few months, but I did notice last year that you hadn't been around the forums as much.  Sorry to hear about the tough times you've been through, but please know that we missed your presence here!

I just got the modelling itch again myself and joined Bish's 1945 GB to motivate me to get a kit or two built this year!  I'm sure we'd all love to see you join up!
