I'll probably be a sucker for both,I just wish they hadn't done away with Magic Tracks
And,if Dragon isn't your cup of tea, here is another Tunisian Tiger by a new company

Meh,....the "Desert Tigers" never did much for me. I'll pass. I already have too many Tigers and variants to build.
Yeah I'm probably going to be getting both kits, looks like the Initial Production will be from Dragon along with the Tiger 131. And not one of those limited editions from cyberhobby.

Up Coming: ?
Yup, saw them both. I have a Tiger I late that I started in the stash. It has taken a long nap. With all of the other great subjects out there, I really don't need all the variants. I honestly can't think of a another kit worth buying at this time. I might be the only one here that thinks this way. LOL

LiveaxleI know I'm late to the dance here, but who does Tiger 131?
The Tiger 131 is a Dragon kit # 6820
Got a bit trigger happy last week and bought:
CH 1/35 Tiger I 1944 Production (Box no:67)
And:
Dragon 1/35 Tiger I Late Production DX07 Alfred Kurzmaul.
Completely useless additions the Tiger stash, I have all the sprues.
Not the stencils but they are invalid to me anyway.
The Rye Field Model looks interesting though, is this the Zvezda with a correction of the turret roof?
Can i finally build #123 of 503 OOB?
Very Best Regards
Johan
Kick the tires and light the fires!
Dragon's Tiger 131 arrived today. Wow!
The box is chock full.
Looks like a winner to me.

Cool, mines due this week, also pre-ordered the DAK version.
Reaper420I love Tigers. Gotta put some Tiger in your Tank right? But I also feel there are starting to be too many tiger I kits. I recently started building tiger II's ( or king tigers or tiger royals, whichever you prefer to call them) and I picked up the amusing hobby Lowe (saw it at my LHS and fell in love) and the Dragon tiger P. Felt like I needed some freshness for the stash.
I do agree about the Tiger I's, as much as I love em. I got that Lowe kit last year and it looks really nice, and I just got their Neubaufahrzeug last week. Just to have something a bit different in the stash.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Are they accurate kits?
Well they look like Tigers
When they released 6252 back in 2005, the kit did not come with engine grills. But came with other photo-etch parts.
LOL............so does the old 1/25 Tamiya kit

I have the first and last one and they look pretty good to me. In terms of accuracy, especially for the second two, a lot would depend on which vehicle you are building as changes on the production line were almost monthly.
One issue with Tiger I kits is the shape of the turret. They were not symmetrical and many companies have this feature incorrect. But I believe Dragon is one of the companies which have the right shape.
They were pretty good, but later releases improved on them...for example, #6600 was an improved version of 6252. The Late Tiger 6253 was very good, but by adding Zimmerit they made it arguably better in 6383.
I don't know what exactly is in these boxes, but I'm sure it's not the same content as in the original release.
Bish & Byrden
Thanks for the info. on those kits.
Good to hear about the turret and later improvements
#6253 was one of the superkits with like a 1000 pieces. #6406 is a simplified version with less PE and comes with DS one-run tracks. Both Tigers need zimmerit added.
I sold one of my cyber hobby Tunisians for $450.00 two years ago........glad I did, this release makes those kits valueless....
Tigers no Lions, no Bears...OH MY
$450.00 for a model kit?
Oh yes, the Cyber Hobby kits were limited release, Furmann, Wittman, Tunisian, I bought two of all of them, one to build and one too...well, .the prices on some of these kits went stratospheric. Some didn't. I sold the STAD gas Panther for $250.......
Insane prices. I won't pay over $40, so I wait to get them on sale or wait for someone firesaling them.
