Shelf Queen...
Have to decide on my Academy Tiger 2 and Zvezda Terminator before I move on.
Messed up both kits badly and consider to ditch both of them.

The Dragon Sherman M4 75MM is my Queen, Kit # 6511!

Happy Modeling! Cool

Tamiya M8 Greyhound with Eduard's PE set. I got this cheap off ebay a few months ago and when I get the Dragon M4 DV done, this armored car is next.

This..............hands down!

Yikes! Sorry Eric! I didn't notice that this was in the armor section. I saw it in the recent posts and just posted away. This would make a good post in General Modeling though as you'd get a lot of cool subjects.

No harm, no foul friend. I like aircraft too.

Some 1/25 armour.

Kits are waiting for a time when I am able to make metal track links.

The 1/35 kits already on hand will have to suffice.

tough choice. since this isn't future arrivals (SA-8, M60A2, AMX-10RC) i think the Trumpeter 1/35 BdW "ELEFANT" tank transporter with HobbyBoss LEOPARD 2A4 on the back. see how clever i am getting two kits in. good thing i didn't pick RR stuff.

That would be the 1/35 Soar Art Dora.  I have an old wrought iron Singer sewing machine table base that I've restored to the original black finish with the red/white/gold Singer logo on the ends.  They made machine guns for the Germans in WWII so there is at least some connection there.  It is big and heavy enough to support the wood base I plan to use under the rail bed.  Just hope I live long enough to complete the build.

From the armour perspective, I would like to get round to an early war German scheme, Pz Grey or the two tone scheme.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

^^^   How true is that!

If I get too excited about something I'm not currently working on, I simply put aside the current project and start something else. Bad habit for me as I end up with lots of shelf queens. Bit in the spirit of the thing, I have several Tamiya Pershings and one HobbyBoss "Super" in the stash that will get kit-bashed into one T26E1 prototype and one T26E4 test mule, retired "with prejudice" that I'm getting pretty jazzed about..

The one I'm the most excited to build is unfortunately always the one I'm not working on at the moment. I've had to force myself to actually finish something for a change instead of starting something new...

From an Armor Only perspective, the Dragon King Tiger has to be completed by 12/31 for the 1945 GB-looking forward to making a heavy weathered KT in the final days of WWII I really need to add one of the Sherman's I have in the stash to my builds-I have a definite lack of Allied armor in my built collection.

I don’t provide WIP posts simply because I am easily distracted.  If it takes the paint or glue too long to dry I set off on a new model without any solid timeline of when I will return to the kit.  The pic provides a small example of my cluttered process.  In the center is a build I was/am looking forward to completing.  It sat in the stash until I acquired all the donor and AM kits to get started.

The next one I am eager to get started on is an LVTP7 hybrid.  It is Hobby Boss’ 1/35 LVTP7 and their AAVP7A1 RAM/RS kits that I am merging to produce an LVTP7 with EAAK (add-on armor), UGWS (turret) and RAM/RS suspension.  It is a vehicle that was with the Amphibious Vehicle Test Branch until about 1998 or so.  The hold-up are the hatches.  I am trying to self-teach myself with ample YouTube assistance on how to use some free CAD software so I can 3D print new driver and TC hatches as they are slightly different.

My 1/350 IJN Akagi, after I retire, move, and settle in.I also have the Trumpy Graf Spee and the Dragon 1/350 CVL-22 Independance. For me ships are the hardest builds  to survive a move, plus they are more time consuming,so I'm holding them a few years till retirement and have more time.

Oh,I just realized this is the armor section.

gonna have to go with my 1/35 DML Brummbar Mid production, then again I previously had been living the "one kit at a time" lifestyle.  of course the contributing factor might be the fact that I'm building a dog of a kit right now (1/48 hobbycraft EF-111) and just want to build a kit where the pieces were actually made to fit together.

the other contender is my 1/35 Trumpeter M1117 Guardian but who am I kidding those are the only two kits in my stash :_(

That's an interesting question Eric, the same thought has crossed my mind ever since I returned and kept reading that the Armor forum's participation has been low recently.  Apparently there aren't many WIP posts here, the majority are in the Group Builds forum....so I was thinking of starting another WIP post here as soon as I'm done in the 1945 GB.

Which stash kit grabs my attention the most for this possible WIP build?    Hmmmm......Hmm.......I'm torn between these three:

  • Tamiya's M3 Lee - I've never built a M3 Lee and this is the only one I have in the stash!
  • Dragon's T-26E3 Pershing - Same as above....also, I need more U.S. armor on my shelf!
  • Tamiya's T-26A - I've never built any post WW2 Russian armor and this looks like an easy build

Interesting how my choices are all older kits when I have quite a number of newer kits.

Converting the H.B. Vietnam Commando Car into a true M-706 from the 635th Security Police Squadron.  What they give you is a V-100 Army M.P. vehicle.  There is quite a difference between the two.

Oh sorry, Armor!

I only have a couple, but I would like to tackle that AFV Club M40 GMC.

Ah yes...the stash.....currently:

-Monogram 'Slingster' dragster/comp coupe that is 80% complete....and has been for weeks...for Monogram Mafia GB

-Second Monogram kit tbd to meet my commitment for the Monogram Mafia GB before October....or two guys with violin cases will be at my front door

-Hasegawa 1/48 Bf 109 E3 for the Battle of Britain GB

-Dragon King Tiger 1/35 for the 1945 GB

Hoping to get motivated to finish a project here soon-still have a Spitfire Mk I (Tamiya) & Mk. IX (Hasegawa) that are 95% complete....and have been before we moved two years ago...sigh....

Like many, I have a few that are in progress. Lol. Okay, it's not all funny, but I do think ahead. ;) Whoo, that is a loaded question. My Dragon T-34 is a strong contender, because my KV I didn't survive the move. Chuckle. Also, the Tamiya Matida would be a nice build and would keep my Cromwell company. Aso, I have a vision of building my Tamiya Opel-blitz with my Dagon flak/38. However, I want to get those in-progress ones done first. Or at least one of them.

So, which kit are you itching to get to next?
