FINISHED- Pseudo-Poll: What Should I Build Next?
Posted by Moff on Sunday, November 1, 2015 8:18 PM

I'm in the painting stage of my IS-3 build (which I'm probably going to upload pics of for the 1945 GB), and I'm planning what to build next...here's what I'm stuck between:

  1. the Dragon VK. 45.02 (P) H (DML 6657), or
  2. a Trumpeter Waffentrager variant (if the majority recommends one of those, I'll start a new thread)

Be warned, often when I ask advice for things it really just serves to clarify what I actually would like, so I may end up going against what people recommend. Anyway, please leave a quick vote/recommendation.

Waffentragers: 5

45.02 H: 0

I like the look of the Waffentrager and not seen one of those built before, so that get my vote. And seeing as I might be doing some Trump armour for the 46 GB, it would be nice to see how they build.

Ok. What were you thinking of doing? One of the E-Series?

Possibly. I have a number of Paper panzers but have narrowed it down to 5 and was going to ask those who join the GB to decide. 3 of the options are Trump kits.

Sorry if I'm being too curious, but which kits?

That's ok. The 5 options are Dragon Flakpanther, Ammusing Hobby Lowe, and Trump E-10, E-75 and E-100 Jagdpanzer.

A third vote for the Waffentrager. Is that on a 38 (t) chasses?

Most of them are, but some have more than six wheels, so I don't know if you would count that.

Ok, it's a landslide for the Waffentragers at 5-0...the VK. 45.02 is calling for a recount! I'll set up a new poll for the Waffentragers soon.

Very cool, I like waffles. I was going to vote for the Waffle Tiger too Stick out tongue

Bish: So you guys are going ahead with the '46 GB? I remember the discussion awhile back but wasn't sure where it was going. I'm kinda burnt-out on GBs but I have a pile of 'paper' subjects that should work.

Gamera, ye, i'll be running the 46 GB, got to finish it off in style. Moff, I am primarily a WW2 guy so there would be no interest for me in 1947. But if someone else wanted to take it up, they would be more than welcome. All being well, I do plan on running a serious of 80th Anniversary GB's starting in 2019.

I'm voting for the VK 45.

Maybe we should look into a Paper Panzer GB?

Bruce, armour builders are much thinner on the ground that aircraft and What If builders even more so. I am not sure a paper panzer GB would go down well. Moff, repeating the same GB so soon tends not to work. In the past GB's have done well first time out but then someone decides to kick the butt out of the idea and it just dies. Given the start of the forum in general and GB's as a whole, it would probably be better to wait a couple of years after 2016 before trying another What If GB. Just my 2cents.
