Nice work Tojo, I like the fact that you cut the schurzen for realism and you didn't over weather it, and yet it looks like it came out of the battle of Kursk.

Chipping was achieved by dry brushing MM Metelizer Gunmetal.

The beat-up skirts look great, and so does the exhaust.  How'd you paint the exhaust?  It looks spotchy and irregular.  It looks perfectly right.

She looks good to me Tojo. The chips and dings look way better than anything I've been able to do.

The photos look like you took them on an overcast day, could that make her look darker than you painted her?

Tojo,

I think it looks fantastic! The chipping and weathering are very well done! As for the german dark yellow, I agree with Jack, it's within reason. Great job!

Good looking build, I really like how the camou came out. Yes

The darkness of the dunkelgelb seems to be within reason compared to the chips Tomas Chory has researched.  If lighting it because of scale effect, I would do the brown as well.

got this one done a couple of days ago.It was a good straightforward build.I managed to get the gunners periscope back on.I chipped up the shurzen and used some AK Streaking wash, and dusted the tracks, roadwheels, and no lower hull and shurzen with some Mig Pigments.

Karl I probably should have stuck with my Tamiya mix on the Dunklegelb that you gave me awhile ago,as I think the Vallejo got too dark after weathering,or maybe just lighten the Vallejo.

Thanks for checking in.

I hope you don't hate me if I say that I think you should have lightened your Dark Yellow. It looks awfully dark in tone--but it may be the lighting.

It looks good as a model build though. Those skirts were rare on the late variant, but is IS true that most people build them without them, so this will be a nice change. Smile

Very good work on ths one.  I like the zimmerit, looks much better than the resin Atak product I had used on this vehicle.

regards,

Jack

I woulda left the skirtzen off...just my preference---looks much more interesting to me if you can see the tracks and running gear...

I know what your saying, but I built one version with no skirts, even used Fruils. On this one I wanted the armadillo look.

Tojo,

Looking forward to seeing some paint on this jagdpanzer! I've been thinking of getting the quick wheel masks, let me know your thoughts. And do you feel they can be used more than once?

Lookin' good Tojo! Most annoying thing about Panzer IVs and varients is all those friggin' road wheels, hope the masks work out there.

You just got to love road wheels. Kind of curious how the Quick Wheel Mask will work, hopefully it will make painting faster.

The kit is looking good, one of these days  will have to give a dragon kit a try. Can't wait to see this finished.

Loving the build so far. Are you going to add the shurzen to it?
