Need some weathering/highlighting tips

Don't despair, I've seen worse tracks here :D

The big question is: what do you expect from the tracks and from your model in general?

I'd suggest working on the assembly some more next time, so that the tracks go tighter around the drive and idler (rear an front) wheels. Sometimes, in order to do that you have to do some filing, add or remove a link from the tracks, add or remove some "slack".

As for the painting, you've got a good base, now you might add some shiny spots where the steel of the tracks wears off constantly in contact with the ground. Same for the steel wheels. The rubber bandages/tires of the wheels where necessary should be dark gray if the tank runs on paved roads, or dust colour if it runs on dirt. You might also contemplate light rust colour if the tank is a wreck. Shiny highlights are best added by dry-brushing. A wash of dark colour or dirt colour could also be a good idea - you can make it yourself by thinning your paints a lot - so no special materials are really necessary.

One more thing - look at as many photos of the real thing as possible - people often neglect this important step.
