The ambush camo is coming along nicely MrT! Yes My understanding is that it's a great kit, one of Dragon's best. Looking at your splendid work inspires me to get my partially complete KT shelf queen onto the bench.

I also have this kit. Looking foword to following. Something interesting to me in the pic is what looks to be some type of barrel lock on the side of the turrets.

Maybe they was locked down during transport. Dew there location I would think they was used on the back deck?

All seem to agree; that's some tremendous work on the ambush scheme. Did you use silly putty to mask and spray it, or hand-paint it?

Yes I used silly putty and spray.  The dots are hand painted.

Thanks

I have put some paint on the turret.  As with the real thing I have base coated with red brown(primer).

Here it is before the burnt sienna oil wash....

After the oil wash.....

More tracks and some dry brushing coming up.

Cool

Cool turret Mr. T.

I tend to just sit down in front of the TV when I clean and sand road wheels. If I can get 'in the zone' they tend to go by without much trouble.

Must be my eyes, but that TC looks huge in that turret. lol As far as hating the wheels, at least they are all steel and no rubber! I've been selling those puppies off.

That's true there could be rubber.

I don't know he looks alright compared to real pictures.

I definitely look forward tot this one. One of my favorites. I once owned this kit, but was stupid enough to sell it, because I had recently built the Jagdtiger and had built at least three KT's over the years.

Thanks for tagging along!

I have this kit in my stash.  Looking forward to your feedback on how well the assembly went and if there are any issues to lookout for.  Are you going completely out of the box?

No I'm never completly out of the box, but if the kit part looks good why change it.
