Steve,

This build turned out very well! Weathering looks great! I really like IDF subjects, and this one is a great representation.

Great job, really like the paint finish. Despite the low parts count this kit has very good detail. But like you said the inside of the tracks lack detail, an unfortunate limitation of slide molding.

Thanks Griffin, they make a PE set for the Merk III Revell kit but I'm sure it could be adapted. There may be other sets that I didn't see.

That came out really nice. Great work. Do they actually make a ball and chain PE set?

Thanks Mike and Gam, I'm happy with it. This gives me more confidence in armor builds.

Nice! Setting the bar pretty high with that finish, Steve. The final effects really pulled that together very well! :)

Hi all,

I just completed the 1/72 Hobby Boss IDF Merkava IV. This is a nice kit but has a low parts count. There are a couple beefs I have with it and that is the total lack of inner track detail and missing Ball and Chain armor on the rear turret. I was able to get around the tracks by adding weathering and I'm not buying the PE Ball and Chain armor for such an inexpensive kit.
It was mainly painted with Vallejo Model Air and weatherd with oils and pastels.

All in all, I'm pleased with the result.
