Revell Challenger MBT in 1:72
Posted by Back to the bench on Monday, January 18, 2021 9:42 AM

Posting some work from several years ago hoping it will motivate me to get something new built. Life events including a cross country move put a dent in my already mediocre motivation and productivity at the bench. Now that I finally have a hobby room again it's time to quit making excuses.

This was a fun build and my first armor in 1:72 and the kit went together really nicely. I'm not sure about the color selection and to be honest I don't remember what I used but I believe it was a MM emamel. It was weathered with pastels, graphite pencil and a black water based ink wash. Looking at the photos the white balance is all over the map too and clearly I need to work on lighting and white balance in my pics.

Nicely done, your post says Revell, but the photos say Trumpeter.

Beautiful work; especially in 1/72! I am very impressed and you definitely need to get back to building more now that you're settled in.

This Challenger is very well done. The desert weathering is perfect.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
