If possible, can you re-post the link?  Thanks.

Sure - the guy that posted them sent me a revised link earlier. I didn't realize he got rid of the old one. Try this:

At the end of WW2, a German general was being interrogated.  He observed that the US Army thrived on chaos.  From the most junior officers, the NCO's, and the lowest privates,  knew that they didn't want to become casualties so they improvised, adapted, and overcame the obstacles before them.  They didn't need to be told what to do; they just went and did it.  So yes, more proper and old school  militaries would see the US soldiers, marines, sailors and airman as unruly in their operations.

Americans didn't earn our reputation for being crass by just sitting around and doing nothing! We rule! Big Smile

I just enjoyed reading a straight forward account from someone who was there. And how he casually mentions the Battle of Britain and Dunkirk, with no knowledge of how significant these events would be in history. Just an amazing read!

Thanks for posting that. Read the first 2 pages so far. I like how they did their test on a motorbike.

I posted my Quad over on Imgur and received a response from an individual whose father actually drove one in WW2. He was kind enough to share a link of some of his father's writings from the time and they are quite compelling. There are 10 pages in all and some of the highlights for me were his comments on how unruly the American soldiers were (the writer is British), a first person account of an Indian soldier wounded in battle, and also the rumors of a propeller-less plane!
