I would say it was not a howitzer but a very capable rifled field gun.
My stash has one, the AFV Club issue.I wish I had the Tamiya kit, but dad is gone and who knows when I'll get to it.

Yes you are correct,I got it at the AMPS national in Conn.in 2017,can't believe it's been stashed that long.The other one was the Trumpy Graf Zeppelin which is still stashed,which actually was my last Squadron purchase.

Wow, that looks super nice. I understand the dilema of knowing it should be dirty but loving how it looks clean and fresh. I always kinda dislike weathering them up after all the careful work getting them painted nice. Great job, it looks awesome.

I have been wanting to get this one posted.It was a nicely detailed kit but very buildable.I built it OOB except for the Tamiya metal barrel and shells.My last couple of armor builds I muddied up pretty good with washes and pigments and planned to do the same on this one but I ended up keeping it clean instead,just doing a little pre-shading.It was enjoyable and I think it looks okay clean.I used mostly Mission Model Paints.
