Thanks again
Awsome job! Followed along the whole way. Love the straight on barrel shot, so menacing.
Be careful of what you ask for, you just might get it.
Well done Tojo
Really nice build Tojo. the figures add a lot to the composition of the base.

It's an amazing diorama. I especially like the shot looking right into the barrel. Would hate to find that pointed in my direction!

Hi Tojo!
hey, just to let you know, the link for pictures doesn't seem to work on my unit. Sounds good though1
That turned out fabulous! There is a real feel of action there with the addition of the figures. Excellent job and congratulations!
Cool, figures look good and I like the way you've got 'em placed!

Lol playing 'Order of Battle: Red Storm' on the PC now. I bought a couple IS-2s - it's fun to see how they smash German tanks to bits!
Thanks Rob for your comments.
8 figures done, working on the last 3.Street lamp arrives today.Should be done this week, been a long but satisfying project.
This is an outstanding project. The JS series is one of my favorite tanks coming out in WW2 and post war. I've got an ancient Italeri one made by Zvezda that Ive used bits and pieces from the Tamiya kit to bring it up to standard.
Thanks everybody.
Nice work on the base and figures! Look forward to seeing it finished.
Nice! Looking forward to seeing all the figures in place!
Hello,I finally got the tank and the base finished,I did order a streetlight to put on 5he corner to a little interest.I also got a start on the figures that are going to be on and around the tank.Happy with the progress, thanks for the words and encouragemen.
Looks good! Nice work!
I finished painting the base, still need to add the appropriate pigments to blend the tank to the base.
Gamera Oh that looks sharp Tojo! And a few washes and some dry-brushing and that base will really 'pop'!

Thank you for your comment, you always have something to say.
Yes,the base in the picture is straight out of the box,I have just started to paint it now.
Well, the vehicle is pretty much done, just need to decide about the hatches.I got this resin street base for it,I plan to add the figures on and around the tank in a simple scene.
Keyserj The rough look of those stripes looks great. Just curious, were the white id stripes just for the invasion of Germany, or did the Russian's also use them earlier on in the war?

You got me,I always associated them with the Berlin Offensive which started 4/15/45,but I'm not sure.
They did use them during the cold War in the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia, and interestingly right now they are painting invasion stripes on vehicles at te Ukrainian border according to reports.

Love how the ID stripes came out- much better looking than the decals. Very nice weathering so far!
That is looking very good! I like the look of the hand brushed white stripes and the faint whitewash look. Tracks are looking good too.
