But I did mention in my original post that it is for conversion to an ordinary M4.

Gee Robert, I think even I could be coaxed into a Allied tank destroyer build. I like them a whole lot more than the garden variety Shermans. Build the Firefly then, Dwight, they're a good 'un!

There's something in the works..........I may be able to break my Hellcat out of the box yet. FYI, there is talk of a forthcoming Battle of Bulge build and Operation Market Garden build within the Normandy Group build.

Dwight, if you want suggestions apart from your current unbuilt pile, how about something in a different scale? Just for fun, and a nice quick build, how about one of the beautiful Revell AG 1/72nd scale kits, like the LeClerc? Or the Tamiya Kubelwagon or Kettenkrad in 1/48th?
I find that doing something in a different scale is a nice break, and also gets me reenergized to work on 1/35th scale stuff.

congrats on completion of ur GB projects !
on the vote above, LOL !
altho' it would b interesting 2 follow ur conversion
of the italeri m32 into an m4...
the inverse of my Sherman family GB project !
and based on that 'something in the works' comment,
i'm keeping my 1/72 Extra Tech M-36 in the ready rack !

I really liked the Fireflies from the group build. I'd probably go with that. Second choice would be the M36... gotta redo that back plate to the proper angle though.
Right now, I'm making 'common' components (firewalls, trannies, etc) for M3 Stuarts (Tamiya, Academy, AFV Club) to be patterns for resin molds... coming along fine so far!

Ron P.:
that's so cool...
i started the Tamiya M3 Stuart over the weekend
as a kind of Memorial Day tribute thing,
then started wondering if i might b able 2 do some scratchbuilding 4 the interior.
that open tub looks pretty inviting, but i'm not experienced in 1/35
(one completed OOB Tamiya Walker Bulldog
& a Dragon BRDM-3 about half done... then i realized how much
shelf space 1/35 afvs take up ! )
then again, if i mess it up, i can always just button up the hatches
& no-one will ever know, rite ?

OK guys thanks for the inputs. This was a close one.
Firefly 6 votes
M-36 5 votes
Special mention:
a.) 1/72 Armor (Larry, I'll check the LHS if there are any 1/72 kits that would interest me, thanks for the tip.)
b.) M-32 Recovery Vehicle (I'll try my best on it Frosty)
So I guess I'll be working on the FIREFLY first (probably this weekend). But don't worry, I feel that the M-36 will be on its way soon, right Sherm?
Again, thanks all.

you ever finish that boat for your wife dwight?? if i remember right she wanted one done for the house right. you better make her happy or the madfuns for the trips to the hobbie shop might dry up soon. even tho i am not married remember if mama is happy, everyone is happy. but if you want to start one of the 4 go with the m4a3 jumbo. i really liked what you did with the super sherman for the group build.
