sd what??? I only speak in Tiger, Panther, Sherman, etc. I don't know from stinking sd-whatevers!! lol

ausf, no I don't think you're an idiot...just a weak nosed, lily livered, slack jawed...

No, actually, I'd "cave" in too, if I had the money. Guaranteed. It's a beautiful kit!

He dared me, for the love of Pete, what's a dope to do?

Besides, I have that M4. And the Tiger. It wouldn't be complete without the T-34 for everyone to shoot.Wink [;)]

Man, you guys are awful! I had, for some mysterious reason, avoided this post until now. I think it's a good thing I did. As the saying goes..."With firends like you...". Maybe that would be more appropriate as "With FIENDS like you"!!!

Ausf, I don't want to hear any more about how I'm being a bad influence on you. I can't believe you caved! Man! If your "firends" told you to jump off a cliff, would you do that too? I am amazed you fell for their jibing! How weak can you be??

Okay, have I made you feel guilty enough, yet?? Just trying to balance the post out a little bit. I think it was about to fall off the fulcrum into a deep dark pit!

I think it's great you got that one coming in. What a cool looking kit it is. I can't wait to see how you do with it. I wouldn't have anyplace to put together, let alone display, a behomoth like that. But I'd sure like to.

Oh, by the way, your math leaves a little to be desired. It works out to just under 17 cents a piece. At 6 cents, the whole kit would only cost about $46. But that's okay. I understand how being overcome with emotion over having to wait for this beauty has clouded your mathmatical reasoning powers!

Build, I won't start on you the way the others have... No "buy i, buy it" stuff.
Just get the dang thing so you and ausf can do a 2 man group build and be done with it!

Batting averages, ERAs....just the word Baseball will take the wind out of, well, you know.

A piece of a T-34, that's what!

It is entirely possible for me have a "plastic-gasm" from opening a kit like this.

But I'm thinking about .....baseball.... so I am able to hold out ( for now )

Ausf,

I went back for some reference to "Elementary School Playground Rules in Action" by Squadron. It says a triple dog dare can only be made by the person who suceesfully completes a "double-dog-dare".

It appears that the preasure is on me now !

I don't know, though, I'm still breathing funny from when Billy Hogelboom dared me to put play-doh up my nose in fifth grade.

You know, somewhere there is a kid with a runny nose that will buy it, squirt 6 tubes of testors glue on it, paint it caribbean blue and take it out in the backyard an blow it up with an m-80. Now you could save that kit Build. It could be yours.....think of it....barrel smartly painted and turret always happy to see you when you entered the room. Its treads quivering with excitement at the thought of the camo paint job you'd give it, the celuclay base gently supporting it, as it was so happy that you saved it from young snot nose. Never judging you, always there for you man.
Buy it.
Buuuuuuyyyyyy iittttt.

Ausf,
I had an up close and personal look at that kit in the shop, and WOW! Have fun with it, and try to finish it before those boys of yours actually get to college. Don't forget the pics because a lot of us will be building vicariously through you.

Glad to hear someone else is due...Sock fulf? I 'm used to a goalie bag full of looks!

Just so you guys know I'm not some sort of spending lunatic here:

I have a wife, two small boys, dog and house. No matter what, I couldn't justify spending this type of cash, even extra cash, on kits with future college tuitions (just in case they don't land that MIT scholarship) retirement, et al. to save for.
What I did realize though, it was going to be a long time before I will get to dive again and I'm never going to be playing bass in a Manhattan bar til 4 AM anymore so...
I unloaded a ton of gear on Ebay, and as the saying goes, Jed's a millionaire (Oil that is, Black Gold, Texas tea...) Couldn't part with the hockey gear though.Wink [;)]
Free money right?

If it makes you feel any better about the perils of giving into temptation, and all the other nonsense this hobby drives us to , tomorrow I'm going to a hobby shop in town (well, actually a hobby warehouse in town) with my Father's Day money, a big chunk of my income tax refund and some cash I've set aside. I will walk out with a new airbrush, compressor and a 1/35 Tamiya Panther (version to be determined at the shop). Included at no extra cost, a whole hockey sock full of nasty looks from wife. I wasn't going to buy a kit with the other stuff, but I couldn't possibly buy all that painting stuff without buying something to paint, could I! Wouldn't be right, now would it?

Anyway, before you fall for renarts' double dog dare, check out Perth military modelling site (pmms.webace.com.au). Under reviews, they got the Trumpeter T34 -- with pics of the parts, the instructions, etc. You will drool. Salivate like Pavlov's MUTT. And the screams...the screams...buy me buy me buy me buy me buy me buy me BUY ME!!!!!!

Buff is right. Wingy things do not count against total kits stashed for darkside fans. Thus, by the law of build, you are indemnified of all wrong by your purchase of the big T-34. Besides, you need something to smoothly transition between those small boxes and the big Tiger box.....

Glad you got the reference BTW. One of my favorite movies.
