hey mate,
Had the pleasure of firing a mattel built (thats right folks)
canadian issue C-7 while on reserve (UK territorial army)training with my regiment in wainright, alberta 1998, unlike the US A2 model the canucks have endorsed full/semi auto, im not sure if the US use a forward assist, but i wish the SA80 had one!, anyways, ive been told that the C7 is the equivelent of an A3.
could be wrong but it was a PPCLI master corporal (instructor)that told me. also the canucks have one of the best battle scopes out there, the C79, this thing rocks mateys!!!!
i have modeled one in 35 using the SUSAT scope from an SA80 (dragon desert rats), with the A2 from the weapons set you mentioned, also, you can add realism by making patrol slings, the covers for the C79 scopes are green and cover the whole unit(often used until the weapon is readied, this is handy to cover the fact that you are using a SUSAT from an SA80!!!!
This was used with an italeri 1/35 LAV 25 converted to a Coyote recce vehicle, although i never got the correct wheels for it
, its in the junior ranks mess at The British Columbia Regiment's Junior Ranks Mess, Beatty st, Vancouver (the one with the sherman RAM out front!
The TAC markings used in the balkans are KFOR (early) and SFOR (late), the laterbeing the stabalization element. or is that the other way round...........Hmmmmmmmm
god speed my friend
