I know absolutly jack about modern armor and only slightly more about WWII, but I think it looks great. The stowage makes this kit look well lived in... Great Job. My only constructive touch of criticism would be that the tracks look a bit loose but all in all it is sweet....

Great job on the build and the finish and excellent weathering, too. I am just wondering about the sag on the tracks.

jessiah,
i know nothing abt modern armor, but i agree on the tracks.
the only other thing i (might) see is maybe a gap in front of the (corner) hatch?
where the angled front plate meets the deck.

it probably does not show on the kit when eyeballed, but in the blown up picture . . .

very nice work. like the wathering & love the stowage.
good job.

Dont wory too much about the loose tracks, they are pretty sloppy on the real things. I think that it looks pretty darn sharp!! I only hope that mine turns out as well when it finally gets here, come on mail call!

Very nice job. You have done a great job on the weathering.

Did the stowage come with the kit or is that aftermarket?

Looks really good, but the tracks are way too loose. They should actually be loose, but not falling off. If this vehicle moved, it would throw the track in all directions. Here is agood photo showing proper track tension.

Basically, the track should touch the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th road wheel and hover above the 1st and 5th roadwheels.

Also, your smoke launcher guards are upside down. Look at the picture and compare yours.

Thanks for the pic heavy arty I went ahead and took the tension out of the tracks , I really appriciate you guys mentioning that that could have cost me a medal at my local show in September. RAF120 the extra stowage was actually from the OIF M1A1 kit, but that stowage does come in a seperate kit that Tamiya offers , the CIP panels were scratchbuilt from styrene, this was also my first attempt with styrene I don't think it was bad for the first try. anyways thanks for all your help guys

P.S. heavy arty im just gonna leave the smoke dischargers the way they are , thats the price you pay for trying to keep models as your hobby and go to college to , alot of sleepless nights either studying or working on a project the directions look decieving at 3 in the morning. LOL

Very nice finish! One common mistake often made with indy track link sets is to assume automatically that 1/2 of those supplied equals 1 track. Most kit manufacturers like Academy, Tamiya, Dragon, etc. in my experience supply extra links because it's easier for them to mold a whole sprue set as opposed to an odd number of links, so you end up with some spares almost always, although on rare occasions the kit will assume you have total mastery of your domain and will be able to achieve success with the exact count and no more or less.

This is very helpful for the inevitable occasions where you (choose any/all that apply) snap one in half because of sprue tension, tweezerpult one across the room into the jaws of the waiting carpet monster, glue one or more to your <insert body part of choice>, small animals and/or children cart away, or simply vanish when you KNOW you had the exact count of links to begin with.

For all that, indy links offer a great look and am sure yours will do great at your upcoming contest with the corrected tension! Good luck! Thumbs Up [tup]
