G.L. I usally paint my tracks with steel as the base, then while wet I take rust color and aply while wet.The rust is a light wet brush not heavy on the paint. While the steel is still wet I brush on the rust hard, working it in good. This provides a good mixture of steel and rust. The steel will show more.I do this on the outside of the tracks and after it has had a few mins to dry I take a very thin out wash of flat black.I go over the tracks outside with it esspecailly the edges that will hit the ground. This causes the steel to bleed throught giving it that used effect of a dual shine. The inside of the tracks I do the oppisite as the outside.Using steel as my base coat and light wet brush of flat black, make sure you work it in good. This will cause the steel to show in a dual effect.I don't even wash it down with a rust wash do to the insides are always clean of rust due to the road wheels.Digger
