Check this picture out. I got it from a guy from Iraq. Read the e-mail caption and then check out the picture. This would make an "interesting" scratchbuild. From what I understand, no soldier has died inside a Stryker due to combat related incidents. That's a good thing, I'm heading out there in a little bit!!
"From one our guys on the streets, I guess people are going to have stop complaining about the Stryker. Its saving lives and making a difference on the streets, it pounces on the unexpected and sneaks up on the expected.
Here's a picture of our MGS Stryker that was hit by a VBIED two nights ago. The bomb had 500 pounds of demo in it. The Stryker was hit on the right side going about 40 miles a hour. The car with the bomb was on the side of the road and went off as the Stryker passed. The Stryker flipped over 1 and a half times and skidded about 30 feet. This bomb was so powerful that it knocked out lights in the rooms of soldiers on FOB freedom even though it was a mile and a half from the FOB. The best part of it all is that out of the 4 soldiers in the Stryker nobody was hurt, other than hearing bells for the next month or so and when the flipped the Stryker back over they could have drove it back in if not for some high ranking people on sight, but that's a different story."
