Got hold of Dragon's 1/35 Pzkw I-B a while back in my last online buying splurge and finally got around to building it. The kit claims to have around 300 parts, 216 of which are tiny indy track links (each link is <1/4" wide). The kit does have some inherent inaccuracies regarding the idler but it does correct one of the orignal flaws by offering options on the pistol port covers that include the bolted detail vs. the smooth ports of the A version so it's a fair trade I guess.
Great little kit to build, decal sheet has markings for 6 different vehicles from all the early campaigns. I went with a 1940 France vehicle because I wanted the challenge of the complex decals to see if I could pull it off. :D
Built straight OOB, the kit included PE for the exhaust covers and clear lenses for the headlights. The rest of the PE fret had chains for optional smoke candles and a bizarre arrangement for super-detailing the rear light bracket...sooo tiny as to not be worth the trouble and the vehicle I was recreating didn't have the candles, so easy enough choice.
As always, any comments or criticisms are welcome!
And just to give an idea of the relative size, here's a shot of it side by side with a 1/35 KT, the top of the turret doesn't even reach up to the hull deck!
